No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Benahavis (11-14) beat 6th ranked Multiopticas Baza (9-15) in Alicante 89-81 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 6 points at the halftime before their 46-32 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. It was a good game for American power forward Willie Williams (200-88, college: Bridgeport) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. The other American import guard Aaron Kelly (184) contributed with 22 points for the winners. Point guard David Garcia (180-93) replied with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 6 rebounds and 14 assists and guard Sergio Valdeolmillos (188-94, college: Academy of Art) added 30 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Multiopticas Baza. Five Benahavis and four Multiopticas Baza players scored in double figures. Benahavis moved-up to third place in Group D-Permam, which they share with San Juan and Utrera. Loser Multiopticas Baza dropped to the seventh position with 15 games lost. Benahavis will face league's second-placed Coin at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Multiopticas Baza will play against Utrera (#3) and hope to win that game.
