Regular Season Round 6: W.Adelaide B. - N.Adelaide R. 84-94

There was no surprise when 7th ranked Bearcats (1-3) lost to top-ranked Rockets (4-0) in Woodville 84-94 on Saturday. Rockets made 24-of-29 free shots (82.8 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 Bearcats turnovers. Bearcats were plagued by 33 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for Samantha Defrancesco who led her team to a victory with 25 points and 9 rebounds. The former international swingman Jo Hill (182-73) contributed with 15 points and 7 rebounds (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!) for the winners. Jasmin Fejo replied with 21 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!) and American guard Alexis Eckles (178-93, college: Cleveland St.) added 16 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Bearcats. Four Bearcats players scored in double figures. Bearcats' coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Rockets maintains first position in League with 4-0 record. Loser Bearcats dropped to the eighth place with three games lost. Rockets will face league's second-placed Sabres in Pasadena in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Bearcats will play on the road against Mavericks (#9) in Mt. Barker and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
