Regular Season Round 6: Sydney Comets - Newcastle H. 59-65

Everything went according to plan in Alexandria where second ranked Newcastle Hunters (5-2) won against 5th ranked Sydney City Comets (3-2) 65-59 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was American forward Sharif Watson (198-93, college: Ariz.Christian) who had a double-double by scoring 17 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists. Jacob Foy chipped in 24 points and 7 rebounds. Newcastle Hunters' coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was power forward Tom Dawson (197) who recorded a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds and Canadian point guard Will Hickey (183) added 6 points and 11 rebounds respectively. Despite that victory Newcastle Hunters went down to third position (League) due to points difference. Loser Sydney City Comets keep the fifth place with two games lost. Newcastle Hunters will have a break next round. Sydney City Comets will play at home against Crusaders (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
