Gamos did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 65-48 on Saturday. Gamos dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Mexcaltecas' 26. Gamos forced 29 Mexcaltecas turnovers. Strangely Mexcaltecas outrebounded Gamos 27-14 including a 27-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. Forward Casandra Ascencio (-91) fired 14 points and 4 assists for the winners. Italivy Ramos chipped in 11 points and 5 assists. Four Gamos players scored in double figures. Gamos' coach Arturo White allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The former international center Jazmin Valenzuela (187-89) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 18 rebounds and Jessica Alvarez added 13 points respectively for lost side. Gamos have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain second place with 10-3 record behind leader Lobas. Mexcaltecas lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with ten games lost. They share it with Quetzales. Gamos will meet Mieleras (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day.
