Very important is a home loss of second ranked Coin (12-13) against seventh ranked San Fernando (10-15) on Saturday night. Host Coin was defeated by San Fernando in Coin 75-65. The game was mostly controlled by San Fernando. Coin was better in second period 14-11. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 21-of-26 free shots (80.8 percent) during the game, while Coin only scored one point from the stripe. Coin was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for Jose Ruiz (200-97) who led his team to a victory with 23 points and 6 rebounds (went 11 for 11 at the free throw line !!!). Guard Juan-Miguel Pina (189-96) contributed with 13 points and 4 assists for the winners. Forward Ismael Sanchez (193-83) replied with 16 points and guard Nacho Molina (188-93) added 15 points in the effort for Coin. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. San Fernando moved-up to sixth place in Group D-Permam. Coin lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the second position with 13 games lost. San Fernando will face Andujar (#9) at home in the next round. Coin will play against Benahavis (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
