There was a minor upset in San Martino di L where 13th ranked Cagliari CUS (6-21) was defeated by sixteenth ranked Fanola SML (6-21) 63-58 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was international power forward Jasmine Keys (190-97) who had a double-double by scoring 28 points and 18 rebounds. Point guard Elena Fietta (167-95) chipped in 14 points and 4 assists. Fanola SML's coach Enrico Valentini allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Giulia Ridolfi (182-94) who recorded 21 points and 6 rebounds and guard Chiara Rossi (170-88, agency: LBM Management) added 19 points respectively. Fanola SML moved-up to thirteenth place in A2. Fanola SML will face higher ranked Scrivia (#4) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Cagliari CUS will play against San Salvatore (#11) and hope to win that game.
