Prva Liga top team - Gorica (20-0) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed seventh ranked Kvarner (8-12) in Velika Gorica 110-50. The game without a history. Gorica led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 21-of-25 free shots (84.0 percent) during the game. Gorica forced 25 Kvarner turnovers and outrebounded them 41-25 including a 25-12 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Kvarner's players. Worth to mention a quality performance of Ivan Majcunic (193-96) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assists and Karlo Miksic (194-97, agency: XL Basketball Agency) who added 26 points and 4 assists during the contest. Five Gorica players scored in double figures. Forward Tin Krstic (-96) responded with 14 points and 4 steals and forward David Ferencic (201-97) scored 9 points and 5 rebounds. Kvarner's coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Gorica have an impressive 20-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 20-0 record. Kvarner lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the eighth place with 12 games lost. Gorica will face Istrauni (#5) in Pula in the next round. Kvarner will play at home against the league's second-placed Bosco and hope to win that game.
