Regular Season Round 28: Levallois - Le Portel 82-76

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both twelfth ranked Levallois and 11th ranked Le Portel had identical 13-14 record. This time Levallois used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Le Portel 82-76 on Saturday night. Le Portel was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Levallois looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a very good performance for international Boris Diaw (203-82) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 10 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists. American swingman Jaron Johnson (198-92, college: Louisiana Tech) contributed with 15 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. American power forward Franklin Hassell (205-88, college: ODU) replied with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 14 rebounds and his fellow American import guard Trae Golden (189-91, college: Georgia Tech) added 22 points and 5 assists in the effort for Le Portel. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Levallois (14-14) moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Gravelines. Le Portel lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the twelfth position with 15 games lost. Levallois will face higher ranked ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket (#4) on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Le Portel will play against Chalons-Reims (#14) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
