There was no surprise in Park Holme where 7th ranked Central District Lions (1-3) were crushed by fifth ranked South Adelaide Panthers (3-1) 99-66 on Saturday. South Adelaide Panthers forced 21 Central District Lions turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when South Adelaide Panthers made 8 blocks. Central District Lions were plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was Dylan Shorne who had a double-double by scoring 22 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. American guard Eian Davis (185-90, college: Albertus Magnus) chipped in 20 points and 7 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Ricardo Martin (203-92, college: Lander) who recorded a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Keith Jumper (203-94, college: Pfeiffer) added 6 points and 13 rebounds respectively. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. South Adelaide Panthers maintains fifth position in League with 3-1 record. Loser Central District Lions dropped to the ninth place with three games lost. South Adelaide Panthers will face higher ranked Norwood Flames (#4) in Marden in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Central District Lions will play at home against the league's leader Noarlunga City Southern Tigers (#1) and hope to win that game.
