The game in Los Mochis supposed to be also worth to mention about. Fifth ranked Ostioneros de Guaymas (4-2) played at the court of 8th ranked Pioneros Los Mochis (2-4). Ostioneros de Guaymas did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 102-82. The best player for the winners was American forward Omar Richards (203-92, college: NW Christian) who scored 25 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. The other American import guard Paul Marigney (192-82, college: St.Mary's, CA) chipped in 19 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists. Richards is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. At the other side the best for losing team was Canadian guard Kendall Williams (183-91, college: N.Mexico) who recorded 19 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists and American swingman Kierre Moore (191, college: Richland CC) added 14 points and 13 rebounds respectively. Four Ostioneros de Guaymas and five Pioneros Los Mochis players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Ostioneros de Guaymas keep a position of league leader, which they share with Guasave and Hermosillo. Pioneros Los Mochis lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with four games lost. Ostioneros de Guaymas' next round opponent will be Garra Canera de Navolato (#6) on the road where they are favorite. Pioneros Los Mochis will play against Tijuana Zonkeys and hope to win that game.
