Regular Season Round 23: Trikalla - Aris 64-83

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 14th ranked Aiolos Trikallon's (3-20) home loss to thirteenth ranked Aris (8-15) 64-83 on Saturday. The game without a history. Aris led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Aris outrebounded Aiolos Trikallon 47-22 including a 18-1 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a great evening for Montenegrin Ivan Maras (207-86) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds. International point guard Eleftherios Bochoridis (193-94) helped adding 17 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Aris' coach Panagiotis Giannakis used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. International point guard Michail Lountzis (196-98) responded with 17 points and 8 rebounds and American guard Earvin Morris (196-94, college: UTEP) scored 14 points. Aris moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Cretan Kings and G.Larissa-Faros. Aiolos Trikallon lost tenth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 20 lost games. Aris is looking forward to face Panionios (#12) in Athens in the next round. Aiolos Trikallon will play on the road against Cretan Kings in Rethymno and is hoping to prove to their supporters that they can break losing series.
