Regular Season Round 26: Kangoeroes - Liege 87-106

Date: April 14, 2018
Bottom-ranked Liege Basket managed to get a sixth victory, breaking the fourteen-game losing streak. This time they outleveled seventh-ranked Kangoeroes in Willebroek 106-87. It's especially surprising that the victory came too easily and 19-point difference suggests that Liege Basket is in a good shape to leave the bottom place. They dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Kangoeroes' 28. They outrebounded Kangoeroes 39-21 including a 31-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Liege Basket players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. The best player for the winners was Serbian swingman Milos Bojovic (198-81, agency: 011 Sports) who scored 19 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals. American point guard Johnathan Jordan (178-92, college: Texas A&M-CC, agency: Slash Sports) chipped in 19 points and 7 assists. Liege Basket's coach Laurent Constantiello allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Power forward Stephane Moris (208-86, agency: Promotex) produced 20 points and Senegalese power forward Pape Badji (208-92) added 13 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Five Liege Basket and four Kangoeroes players scored in double figures. Liege Basket (6-20) moved-up to ninth place. Kangoeroes at the other side keep the seventh position with 15 games lost. Liege Basket's next round opponent will be league's leader Oostende at home and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
