Regular Season Round 28: Chalon - Limoges 86-83

There was an upset when higher ranked Limoges CSP Elite (15-13) was edged on the road by thirteenth ranked Chalon/Saor (13-15) 86-83 on Saturday. Limoges CSP Elite was trailing by 2 points at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 23-19 charge of Chalon/Saor, which allowed them to win the game. Limoges CSP Elite was plagued by 31 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for American point guard Nate Wolters (193-91, college: S.Dakota St., agency: Pensack Sports) who helped to win the game recording 14 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Belgian forward Pierre-Antoine Gillet (201-91) contributed with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. International William Howard (202-93) replied with 21 points and American point guard Kenny Hayes (186-87, college: Miami, OH, agency: BeoBasket) added 14 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Limoges CSP Elite. Five Chalon/Saor and four Limoges CSP Elite players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Chalon/Saor have a solid four-game winning streak. Defending champion moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Le Portel. Loser Limoges CSP Elite dropped to the seventh position with 13 games lost. Chalon/Saor will face bottom-ranked Hyeres-Toulon (#18) on the road in the next round where they are favorite.
