Regular Season Round 23: Panathinaikos - Kolossos HH 87-63

A1 top team - Panathinaikos (23-0) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed eighth ranked Kolossos HH (9-14) in Athens 87-63. Panathinaikos dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Kolossos HH's 34. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a great evening for American power forward Chris Singleton (206-89, college: Florida St.) who led his team to a victory scoring 14 points. International point guard Nick Calathes (198-89, college: Florida) helped adding 7 points and 10 assists. American forward Keith Wright (203-89, college: Harvard) responded with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 rebounds and the other American import forward Ramon Harris (201-88, college: Kentucky) scored 17 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Panathinaikos have an impressive series of twenty three victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 23-0 record. Kolossos HH lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with 14 games lost. Panathinaikos are looking forward to face Koroivos (#13) on the road in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Kolossos HH will play against Kymis (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
