Semi-Finals Game 1: Keltern - Marburg 76-61

Keltern eased past Marburg in the opening game of the series. The game was mostly controlled by Gruner Stern Keltern. BC Pharmaserv Marburg managed to win second period 20-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Gruner Stern Keltern dominated on the defensive end, holding BC Pharmaserv Marburg to just 7 points in third quarter. They outrebounded BC Pharmaserv Marburg 45-26 including a 23-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. American point guard Jasmine Thomas (170-91, college: Michigan St.) stepped up and scored 16 points and 7 rebounds for the winners and Estonian forward Mailis Pokk (186-92) chipped in 14 points and 7 rebounds. Gruner Stern Keltern's coach Christian Hergenroether used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side American guard Tonisha Baker (173-90, college: Campbell) responded with 17 points and the former international power forward Svenja Greunke (188-89) scored 7 points and 9 rebounds.
