There was no surprise in Hiroshima where 6th ranked Tokyo Z (20-33) was defeated by third ranked Dragonflies (29-24) 89-85 on Sunday. Dragonflies made 28-of-34 free shots (82.4 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The game was dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was power forward Jamari Traylor (203-92, college: Kansas) who scored 25 points and 9 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Guard Terrence Drisdom (196-92, college: Cal Poly Pomona) chipped in 22 points and 6 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Cinmeon Bowers (201-93, college: Auburn) who recorded 28 points and 7 rebounds (on 11-of-13 shooting from the field) and center Luke Evans (203-91, college: Cal.Baptist) added 10 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists respectively. Tokyo Z's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Dragonflies have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 29-24 record having just three points less than leader Akita NH, which they share with Ehime OV. Loser Tokyo Z dropped to the fourth place with 33 games lost. Dragonflies will face Yamagata (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Tokyo Z will play against the league's second-placed Fukushima and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
