Not a big story in a game when 11th ranked Castelldefels (8-16) lost at home to eighth ranked Mataro Parc Boet (12-12) 75-65 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 8 points after first quarter, but they rallied back and won the game by 10 points. Mataro Parc Boet made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. It was a good game for American forward Faronte Drakeford (201-92, college: Cent.Conn.St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 12 rebounds (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line). Point guard Dario Naharro (180) contributed with 14 points for the winners. Four Mataro Parc Boet players scored in double figures. Forward Jordi Boronat (-85) replied with 17 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and Jaume Zanca added 13 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Castelldefels. Castelldefels' coach Alex Artigot rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Newly promoted Mataro Parc Boet maintains eighth position in Group C-A with 12-12 record. Castelldefels lost third consecutive game. They keep the eleventh place with 16 games lost. Mataro Parc Boet will face league's leader Vive El Masnou in Barcelona in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Castelldefels will play on the road against the league's second-placed Menorca (#2) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
