There was a surprise result when thirteenth ranked Cerignola Udas (10-19) edged at home higher ranked Civitanova (15-14) 66-64 on Sunday. Oleksandr Kushchev (201-90) orchestrated the victory by scoring 20 points. Point guard Nunzio Sabbatino (188-92, agency: Players Group) contributed with 13 points for the winners. Alessandro Cassese (186-97) answered with 26 points (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field) and forward Riccardo Coviello (195-88) added 16 points in the effort for Civitanova. Newly promoted Cerignola Udas maintains thirteenth place in B with 10-19 record, which they share with Lugo. Civitanova at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the sixth position with 14 games lost. Cerignola Udas will face higher ranked Bisceglie (#3) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
