Regular Season Round 30: Ardoi - Pielagos 92-81

There was a surprise result when tenth ranked Ardoi (12-16) won against higher ranked Pielagos (17-11) in Zizur Mayor 92-81 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 3 points at the halftime before their 49-35 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. It was a good game for power forward Jon Uriarte (201-85, college: Faulkner) who led his team to a victory with 18 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. Chej Ainatu (191-91) contributed with 19 points and 5 steals for the winners. Ardoi's coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Canadian forward Pape Seck (208, college: Simon Fraser) replied with 23 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Brais Gago (180-96) added 12 points and 7 assists in the effort for Pielagos. Five Ardoi and four Pielagos players scored in double figures. Ardoi have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain tenth position in Group A-A with 12-16 record. Loser Pielagos keeps the sixth place with 11 games lost. Ardoi will face Mondragon (#13) on the road in the next round.
