Rather predictable result when third ranked Yamagata (24-29) outscored at home 5th ranked Aomori Watts (15-38) 94-75 on Sunday. Yamagata dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Aomori Watts' 42. They outrebounded Aomori Watts 48-32 including 17 on the offensive glass. The game was dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was forward Chris Olivier (203-92, college: Oklahoma St.) who scored 27 points and 7 rebounds. Center Will Creekmore (205-89, college: Missouri St.) chipped in a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was swingman Lakeem Jackson (195-90, college: S.Carolina, agency: SDJ Sports) who recorded 20 points and 5 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and center Kyle Barone (208-89, college: Idaho) added 13 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists respectively. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Yamagata maintains third position with 24-29 record having eight points less than leader Akita NH.
