Everything went according to plan when third ranked Eurotrend Biella (18-10) outscored on the road 16th ranked Cuore Napoli (3-26) 92-62 on Sunday. Eurotrend Biella dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Cuore Napoli's 34. They outrebounded Cuore Napoli 46-24 including a 35-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. The former international power forward Amedeo Tessitori (208-94) stepped up and scored 16 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners and American point guard Timothy Bowers (188-82, college: Mississippi St.) chipped in 8 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. American guard Elston Turner (195-90, college: Texas A&M) responded with 17 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Bruno Mascolo (190-96) scored 10 points and 6 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Eurotrend Biella maintains third place in A2 with 18-10 record having four points less than leader Alma Trieste. Newly promoted Cuore Napoli keeps the sixteenth position with 26 games lost.
