We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 8th ranked Matera (15-14) lost on the road to ninth ranked Campli (15-14) 88-83 on Sunday. Campli forced 21 Matera turnovers and outrebounded them 42-28 including a 32-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Matera was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Power forward Gianluca Di-Carmine (200-86) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 10 points, 7 rebounds, 14 assists and 4 steals. Power forward Riziero Ponziani (205-94) contributed with 20 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Five Campli players scored in double figures. Naturalized Argentinian swingman Franco Migliori (200-82) answered with 37 points (!!!) and center Nicolo Ravazzani (198-85) added 10 points and 15 rebounds in the effort for Matera. Campli moved-up to eighth place in B, which they share with Desio. Campli will face Teramo (#10) on the road in the next round.
