Regular Season Round 29: Roseto Sharks - Treviso Basket 80-98

Very expected game when 15th ranked Roseto Sharks (6-23) were defeated at home by third ranked Treviso Basket (19-10) 98-80 on Sunday. The former international swingman Michele Antonutti (202-86) stepped up and scored 29 points and 6 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) for the winners and American forward John Brown-III (201-92, college: High Point) chipped in 24 points and 11 rebounds. Treviso Basket's coach Stefano Pillastrini allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Naturalized American point guard Matt Carlino (189-92, college: Marquette) responded with 35 points (!!!) and power forward Francesco Infante (202-92) scored 7 points and 9 rebounds. Treviso Basket maintains third place in A2 with 19-10 record having just two points less than leader Alma Trieste. Loser Roseto Sharks keep the fifteenth position with 23 games lost. Treviso Basket will face Agribertocchi OR (#16) in Orzinuovi in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Roseto Sharks will play on the road against Tezenis Verona and hope to win that game.
