Everything went according to plan when eighth ranked Tezenis Verona (17-12) beat on the road 12th ranked Unieuro Forli (12-17) 85-75 on Sunday. The former international point guard Andrea Amato (190-94) stepped up and scored 19 points and 9 assists for the winners and the former international forward Mattia Udom (200-93) chipped in 15 points and 9 rebounds. Maltese-American Darryl Jackson (190-85, college: Warner Pacific) responded with 23 points and 4 assists and Israeli point guard Yuval Naimy (188-85) scored 12 points and 9 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Unieuro Forli's coach Giorgio Valli rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help.
