Regular Season Round 20: Universitas - Agrodalm 81-71

Very important is a road loss of second ranked Agrodalm (13-7) against fourth ranked Universitas (12-7) on Sunday night. Visiting Agrodalm was defeated by Universitas in Split 81-71. The game was mostly controlled by Universitas. Agrodalm was better in fourth quarter 21-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Universitas forced 27 Agrodalm turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists. The winners were led by guard Marin Vrucinic (186-97) who scored that evening 20 points and 6 assists and center Ivan Vrgoc (201-99) supported him with 14 points, 10 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. Universitas' coach Milan Karakas used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 17 points and 8 rebounds by forward Damir Mijic (201-87) did not help to save the game for Agrodalm. Forward Andrej Ceraj (-98) added 12 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals for the guests. Four Universitas and five Agrodalm players scored in double figures. Newly promoted Universitas maintains fourth position with 12-7 record. Agrodalm lost third consecutive game. They keep the second place with seven games lost. They share the position with Bosco. Universitas will play against Bulldogs (#6) in Zagreb in the next round. Agrodalm will play at home against Sanac (#12) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
