Regular Season Round 14: Aztks - Acereras 73-40

There was no surprise when 8th ranked Acereras (1-13) were crushed on the road by fourth ranked Aztks (10-4) 73-40 on Sunday. Aztks dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Acereras' 26. Cuban center Yayma Boulet (193-83) scored 13 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the former international guard Angelica Molina (160-93) chipped in 19 points during the contest. Guatemalan center Linda Gonzalez (178-92) responded with 20 points and 7 rebounds and Myrle Valenciana scored 3 points and 6 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Aztks have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Gamos. Acereras at the other side, also newcomer in the league, stay at the bottom position with 13 games lost.
