Regular Season Round 26: Peja - Ylli 93-88

An interesting game for Peja (7-18) which hosted in Peja 4th ranked Xhebrailat (13-12). First ranked Peja managed to get a 5-point victory 93-88. Peja made 17-of-22 charity shots (77.3 percent) during the game. Peja outrebounded Xhebrailat 56-34 including a 26-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 35 assists comparing to just 21 passes made by Xhebrailat's players. Swingman Beq Kovaqi (193-93) had a triple-double by scoring 33 points (!!!), 10 rebounds and 10 assists to lead the charge for the winners and swingman Taulant Dupa (189-88) chipped in 21 points, 13 rebounds and 11 assists during the contest. Four Peja players scored in double figures. American forward Marvin Smith (198, college: USC Upstate) responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 10 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals and his fellow American import point guard Michael Harmon (180-94, college: Northeastern St.) scored 22 points and 4 assists. Xhebrailat's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Despite that victory Peja went down to sixth position due to points difference. Xhebrailat lost third consecutive game. They keep the fourth place with 12 games lost. Peja will play against league's leader Kerasan in Prishtina in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Xhebrailat will play at home against the league's leader Borea and hopes to get back on the winning track.
