Regular Season Round 27: Vicenza - Carugate 67-61

There was no surprise when 13th ranked Carugate (6-22) was defeated on the road by seventh ranked Vicenza (17-10) 67-61 on Sunday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The best player for the winners was Bosnian Melisa Brcaninovic (190-99, agency: BeoBasket) who scored 16 points and 9 rebounds. Point guard Francesca Santarelli (175-94) chipped in 19 points. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international center Valentina Fabbri (196-85) who recorded a double-double by scoring 13 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists and point guard Laura Rossi (173-97) added 13 points respectively. Vicenza moved-up to fifth place in A2. Loser Carugate dropped to the sixteenth position with 22 games lost. Vicenza will face Marghera (#8) in Venezia in the next round. Carugate will play at home against Bolzano (#12) and hope to win that game.
