Regular Season Round 54: Kagawa FA - Sendai 89ers 79-70

The game in Takamatsu was also quite interesting. One of their biggest challengers Sendai 89ers (20-33) played at the court of fifth ranked Kagawa FA (18-33). Kagawa FA managed to secure a 9-point victory 79-70 on Sunday. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Sendai 89ers. Kagawa FA dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Sendai 89ers' 30. The best player for the winners was American forward Reginald Warren (204-81, college: W.Florida) who had a double-double by scoring 28 points and 17 rebounds. Guard Tsukuba Tsukuba (188-92) chipped in 10 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was U.S. Virgin Islands center Craig Williams (206-89, college: TCU) who recorded 8 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and guard Shuto Mizoguchi (187-87) added 17 points respectively. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Kagawa FA maintains fifth position with 18-33 record. Loser Sendai 89ers keep the fourth place with 33 games lost. Kagawa FA will face Bambitious Nara (#6) on the road in the next round. Sendai 89ers will play against the league's leader Akita Happinets and hope to win that game.
