Bnei Hasharon managed to win fourth quarter 20-11. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Hapoel Tel-Aviv dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Bnei Hasharon's 34. Hapoel Tel-Aviv looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American Tony Gaffney (206-84, college: Massachusetts, agency: Octagon Europe) fired 22 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. His fellow American import guard Jerel McNeal (190-87, college: Marquette) chipped in 13 points, 8 assists and 4 steals. The former international swingman Shawn Dawson (198-93) produced 15 points and American power forward Tim Kempton (208-95, college: Lehigh) added 9 points and 10 rebounds respectively for lost side. Hapoel Tel-Aviv will meet bottom-ranked Maccabi Haifa (#12) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Bnei Hasharon will play against Hapoel Eilat and hope to secure a win.
