Regular Season Round 26: Bashkimi - Kerasan 119-67

The most crucial game of the last round was another loss of top-ranked Kerasan (4-22) in Prizren on Tuesday night. Visitors were rolled over by second ranked Bashkimi (21-4) 119-67. Bashkimi dominated down low during the game scoring 88 of its points in the paint compared to Kerasan's 34. Bashkimi forced 27 Kerasan turnovers and outrebounded them 56-20 including a 18-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 40 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Kerasan's players. Point guard Altin Morina (194-94) orchestrated the victory with a triple-double by scoring 18 points, 12 rebounds, 14 assists and 8 steals. Swingman Qendrim Biraj (190-89) contributed with a triple-double by scoring 13 points, 13 rebounds and 11 assists for the winners. Five Bashkimi players scored in double figures. Guard Almir Berisha (190-0) replied with 17 points and point guard Rron Beha (173-0) added 18 points in the effort for Kerasan. Bashkimi have an impressive 12-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 21-4 record having just thirteen point less than leader Sigal Prishtina. Kerasan lost twelfth consecutive game. They still keep top place with 22 games lost. Bashkimi are looking forward to face Trepca (#5) in Mitrovice in the next round. Kerasan will play at home against Peja (#6) and is hoping to win this game.
