There was a surprise result when tenth ranked Albino (12-16) beat at home higher ranked Milano (17-11) 51-36 on Thursday. Albino held Milano to an opponent 20.6 percent shooting from the field compared to 33.8 percent accuracy of the winners. Albino had a 35-24 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a very good performance for British forward Shequila Joseph (190-95, college: Mississippi) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points and 18 rebounds. Point guard Chiara Lussana (171-96) contributed with 10 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Forward Martina Picotti (184-90) replied with 7 points and 8 rebounds (made all of her seven free throws) and forward Giulia Maffenini (175-92, agency: Two Points) added 5 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Milano. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Albino maintains tenth position in A2 with 12-16 record. Loser Milano dropped to the seventh place with 11 games lost. Albino will face higher ranked Vicenza (#6) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
