Regular Season Round 10: Brusque - Corinthians 67-75

Leader Corinthians delivered the tenth victory. This time they beat 8th ranked Brusque (2-10) 75-67. 26 personal fouls committed by Brusque helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American swingman Brandon Davis (198-88, college: Lamar, agency: Pro Sports) notched 28 points to lead the effort and the former international point guard Humberto Gomes (195-95) supported him with 14 points. Even a double-double of 11 points and 11 rebounds by center Rodrigo Silva (207-87) did not help to save the game for Brusque. Guard Leandro Rubens (196-94) added 16 points and 5 rebounds for lost side. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Corinthians maintains first position with 10-2 record. Brusque at the other side keeps the eighth place with ten games lost. Corinthians will have a break next round. Brusque will play on the road against Blumenau (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
