No shocking result in a game when seventh ranked Caballeros de Culiacan (5-3) beat at home bottom-ranked Halcones de Ciudad Obregon (1-8) 92-86 on Friday. Caballeros de Culiacan made 21-of-23 free shots (91.3 percent) during the game. Nigerian-American point guard Ben Uzoh (191-88, college: Tulsa) nailed 19 points, 6 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals for the winning side and Colombian swingman Juan Flores (194-0) accounted for 15 points and 11 rebounds. American forward Landon Atterberry (198-93, college: LIU Brooklyn) came up with 25 points and 6 rebounds and the other American import power forward Michael Glover (203-87, college: Iona) added 16 points and 14 rebounds respectively for Halcones de Ciudad Obregon in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Caballeros de Culiacan moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Navolato. Halcones de Ciudad Obregon lost third consecutive game. Defending champion stay at the bottom position with eight games lost. Caballeros de Culiacan will again meet at home bottom-ranked Halcones de Ciudad Obregon (#10) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Halcones de Ciudad Obregon will have a break next round.
