Regular Season Round 27: Antwerp - Leuven 87-63

Very expected game when 10th ranked Leuven Bears (5-22) were crushed on the road by second ranked Antwerp Giants (19-8) 87-63. They made 25-of-28 charity shots (89.3 percent) during the game, while Leuven Bears only scored eight points from the stripe. It was a good game for American guard Tyler Kalinoski (193-92, college: Davidson) who led his team to a victory with 20 points and 7 rebounds. International point guard Thomas Akyazili (188-97, college: Colorado) contributed with 19 points (went 11 for 11 at the free throw line !!!) for the winners. Guard Anthony Lambot (185-94, agency: Promotex) answered with 10 points and American swingman Sanjay Lumpkin (198-94, college: Northwestern) added 10 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Leuven Bears. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Antwerp Giants maintains second place with 19-8 record having five points less than leader Oostende. Leuven Bears at the other side stay dead last with 22 lost games. Antwerp Giants' next round opponent will be again bottom-ranked Leuven Bears (#10) on the road and are hoping to win another game.
