Regular Season Round 55: Ehime OV - Aomori Watts 121-110

The game between closely ranked teams ended with fourth ranked Orange Vikings' (30-25) home victory over 5th ranked Aomori Watts (16-39) in Matsuyama 121-110 on Friday. Orange Vikings dominated down low during the game scoring 86 of its points in the paint compared to Aomori Watts' 58. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Quite impressive performance for American forward Chehales Tapscott (195-90, college: Portland St.) who helped to win the game recording 50 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds. Guard Toshino Tatsuhiko (185-88) contributed with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 5 rebounds and 11 assists for the winners. American center Kyle Barone (208-89, college: Idaho) answered with 23 points and 9 rebounds and the other American import forward Joe Burton (201-90, college: Oregon St.) added 20 points and 5 assists in the effort for Aomori Watts. Four Orange Vikings and five Aomori Watts players scored in double figures. Aomori Watts' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. The victory was the third consecutive win for Orange Vikings. They moved-up to third place. Loser Aomori Watts keep the fifth position with 39 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
