Semi-Finals Game 2: Marburg - Keltern 62-72

Keltern advanced into DBBL Finals after they rallied past Marburg on the road. It looked good early as BC Pharmaserv Marburg took a 2-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Gruner Stern Keltern had a 22-14 second period charge getting the lead and BC Pharmaserv Marburg was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 62-72. Gruner Stern Keltern dominated down low during the game scoring 42 of its points in the paint compared to BC Pharmaserv Marburg's 22 and made 21-of-25 charity shots (84.0 percent) during the game. Gruner Stern Keltern forced 21 BC Pharmaserv Marburg turnovers. American guard Amber Orrange (170-93, college: Stanford, agency: LBM Management) notched 19 points and 5 steals (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and the former international guard Stina Barnert (173-89) supported her with 12 points and 7 rebounds. Gruner Stern Keltern's coach Christian Hergenroether allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 13 points and 5 rebounds by Bulgarian power forward Diana Voynova (192-88, college: Duquesne) did not help to save the game for BC Pharmaserv Marburg. The former international power forward Svenja Greunke (188-89) added 9 points and 9 rebounds for the hosts.
