We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when ninth ranked Rivas (13-15) beat at home 8th ranked Tenerife Naut. (14-14) 80-73 on Saturday. It was a great evening for Angel Gomez who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds. Eduardo Martinez (193-96) helped adding 16 points. Four Rivas players scored in double figures. At the losing side point guard Ayoze Alonso (187-91) responded with 14 points and 5 rebounds and Danish center Sami Eleraky (213-93, college: Pacific) scored 10 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Rivas maintains ninth place in Group B with 13-15 record. Tenerife Naut. lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the eighth position with 14 games lost. Rivas will face league's second-placed Azuqueca on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
