Regular Season Round 31: Sant Josep - Sant Adria 71-80

There was a small surprise in Badalona where ninth ranked Sant Adria (12-13) won against 7th ranked Sant Josep (12-11) 80-71 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 5 points after three quarters before their 22-8 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Sant Adria made 23-of-30 free shots (76.7 percent) during the game. Sant Josep was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for point guard Pau Ruzafa (180) who led his team to a victory scoring 15 points and 5 assists. Power forward Alberto Reyes (195-90) helped adding 8 points and 14 rebounds. At the losing side forward Pedro Cuesta (190-77) responded with 13 points and 7 rebounds and guard Gerard Blat (181-97) scored 16 points. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Sant Adria maintains ninth place in Group C-A with 12-13 record. Sant Josep lost their third game in a row. Newly promoted team dropped to the eighth position with 11 games lost. Sant Adria will face higher ranked Mataro Parc Boet (#7) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
