There was a surprise result in Kilsyth where fifth ranked Tigers (2-1) outscored leader Lady Cobras (3-1) 93-71 on Saturday. It was a great shooting night for Tigers especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.6 percentage. It was a great evening for guard Rebecca Cole (178-92) who led her team to a victory scoring 27 points and 6 assists. Point guard Monique Conti (165-99) helped adding 23 points and 9 rebounds. Four Tigers players scored in double figures. At the losing side Hope Terdich responded with 16 points and 5 rebounds and American center Angela Beadle (190-93, college: Sam Houston St.) scored 9 points and 7 rebounds. Tigers moved-up to third place in League. Loser Lady Cobras dropped to the second position with one game lost. Tigers will face Nationals (#7) in Canberra in the next round. Lady Cobras will play at home against the league's leader Rangers (#1) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
