Eve Braslis contributed with 20 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Four Geelong Supercats players scored in double figures. Forward Keely Froling (188-96, college: SMU) answered with a triple-double by scoring 21 points, 14 rebounds and 10 assists and guard Kate Gaze (173-90, college: St.Mary's, CA) added 21 points and 8 assists in the effort for Nationals. Nationals' coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Geelong Supercats (2-0) moved-up to third place in League. Nationals at the other side dropped to the seventh position with one game lost. Geelong Supercats' next round opponent will be Ballarat Rush (#5) in Wendouree. Nationals will play on the road against Tigers in Melbourne and hope to win that game.
