Not a big story in a game in Bunbury where 10th ranked Slammers (2-5) were rolled over by fifth ranked Flames (4-2) 78-51 on Saturday. Flames dominated down low during the game scoring 40 of its points in the paint compared to Slammers' 14. Flames forced 23 Slammers turnovers and outrebounded them 44-32 including 30 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for forward Darcee Garbin (187-94) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 31 points and 14 rebounds. Forward Maddison Allen (190-93, college: Santa Clara) helped adding 14 points and 10 rebounds. At the losing side Georgia Denehey (-99) responded with 15 points and 7 rebounds and forward Courtney Bayliss (183-93, college: Our Lady Lake) scored 13 points and 6 rebounds. Flames maintains fifth place in League with 4-2 record. Loser Slammers keep the tenth position with five games lost. Flames will face Wanneroo (#6) in Joondalup in the next round. Slammers will play at home against Cougars (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
