Regular Season Round 7: C.Districts L. - Southern T. 67-85

Rather predictable result in Gawler where fourth ranked Tigers (4-2) defeated 7th ranked Lions (2-4) 85-67 on Saturday. It was a great evening for forward Mollie McKendrick (183-93, college: Boston U.) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds. Demi Skinner (-97) helped adding 24 points and 5 rebounds. Tigers' coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side American guard Jazmen Boone (173, college: William & Mary) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 15 rebounds and the other American import guard Shawnte' Goff (173-94, college: UTRGV) scored 19 points. Four Lions players scored in double figures. Tigers maintains fourth place in League with 4-2 record. Loser Lions dropped to the eighth position with four games lost. Tigers will face higher ranked Flames (#3) in Marden in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Lions will play at home against Bearcats (#5) and hope to win that game.
