Regular Season Round 55: Shinshu BW - Kanazawa Sam. 57-74

The game between closely ranked teams ended with fourth ranked Kanazawa Sam.'s (25-28) road victory over 5th ranked Shinshu BW (23-30) in Nagano 74-57 on Saturday. They outrebounded Shinshu BW 46-35 including 39 on the defensive glass. Kanazawa Sam. looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a very good performance for American power forward Andrew Fitzgerald (202-90, college: Oklahoma) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 27 points and 13 rebounds. His fellow American import center Wayne Marshall (211-86, college: Temple) contributed with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 15 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. American forward Tim Dezelski (198-90, college: Hillsdale, agency: Duran International) answered with 16 points and 7 rebounds and guard Furuhashi Hiroki (185-92) added 6 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Shinshu BW. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Newly promoted Kanazawa Sam. maintains fourth place with 25-28 record. Shinshu BW lost their sixth game in a row. They keep the fifth position with 30 games lost. Kanazawa Sam. will have a break next round. Shinshu BW will play again at home against Kanazawa Sam. (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
