The most exciting game of round 5 in the B League D3 took place in Tokyo. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of 3rd placed Tokyo Excel. (6-4) to fourth ranked Kagoshima (5-5) 91-89 on Saturday evening. American forward Darnell Martin (198-91, college: CS Dominguez H.) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 29 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and point guard Yasudo Yamada (179-98) chipped in 11 points and 7 assists. American Justin Herold (203-91, college: Sonoma St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds and the other American import forward Jordan Faison (201-94, college: Cal Poly Pomona) scored 11 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists. Five Kagoshima and four Tokyo Excel. players scored in double figures. Tokyo Excel.'s coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Kagoshima have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain fourth place with 5-5 record. Tokyo Excel. at the other side dropped to the second position with four games lost. They share it with Otsuka A.. Kagoshima are looking forward to face league's leader Tokyo HT at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
