Regular Season Round 31: Utrera - Multiopticas Baza 66-84

There was an upset when 3rd placed Utrera (11-15) was defeated at home by eighth ranked Multiopticas Baza (10-15) 84-66 on Saturday. It was a great evening for point guard David Garcia (180-93) who led his team to a victory scoring 15 points and 5 assists. Alberto Perez helped adding 12 points and 6 rebounds. At the losing side forward Andres Tejada (195-98) responded with 13 points and 4 assists and Montenegrin power forward Zoran Vilotijevic (206-90) scored 11 points and 7 rebounds. Five Multiopticas Baza and four Utrera players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Multiopticas Baza moved-up to seventh place in Group D-Permam, which they share with Unicaja-Andalucia. Loser Utrera dropped to the fourth position with 15 games lost. Multiopticas Baza will face bottom-ranked Sevilla 2 (#10) at home in the next round. Utrera will play against Coin (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
