There was an upset in Ordizia where higher ranked Valladolid Univ. (14-15) was edged by fourteenth ranked BIOK2.COM OKE (9-20) 70-69 on Saturday. Strangely Valladolid Univ. outrebounded BIOK2.COM OKE 40-27 including 28 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for forward Asier De la Iglesia (201-83) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds. Guard Ander Merketegi (186-98) helped adding 14 points and 5 assists. Four BIOK2.COM OKE players scored in double figures. At the losing side Alberto Garcia responded with 12 points and 6 rebounds and forward Pedro Gonzalez (195-89) scored 6 points and 6 rebounds. Valladolid Univ.'s coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. BIOK2.COM OKE moved-up to twelfth place in Group A-A, which they share with Mondragon and Valle de Egues. Loser Valladolid Univ. keeps the eighth position with 15 games lost. BIOK2.COM OKE will face league's second-placed Zornotza in Amorebieta-Echano in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
