Regular Season Round 31: Culleredo - COB 60-62

There was no surprise when 15th ranked Culleredo (8-21) was edged at home by eleventh ranked COB (13-16) 62-60 on Saturday. It was a great evening for center Pablo Roman (206-95) who led his team to a victory scoring 14 points and 9 rebounds. Forward Cristian Iglesias (198-94) helped adding 12 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Four COB players scored in double figures. At the losing side American Johnathan Murphy (199-89, college: Columbus St.) responded with 15 points and 6 rebounds and Alvaro Anon scored 11 points and 5 rebounds. Culleredo's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. COB maintains eleventh place in Group A-B with 13-16 record. Culleredo lost their seventh game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the fifteenth position with 21 games lost. COB will face higher ranked Ponferrada CDP (#10) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Culleredo will play against Rosalia (#12) in Santiago de Camp. and hope to win that game.
