Regular Season Round 7: Frankston B. - Nunawading S. 81-94

Date: April 21, 2018
Not a big story in a game when bottom-ranked Frankston Blues (0-5) lost to leader Spectres (4-0) in Seaford 81-94 on Saturday. Quite impressive performance for Thomas Wright who helped to win the game recording 31 points and 5 rebounds. American center Dain Swetalla (206-86, college: Augustana, IL) contributed with 13 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Five Spectres players scored in double figures. Spectres' coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest. American forward Aaron Ross (203-92, college: Texas Tech) answered with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 12 rebounds and the former international guard Rhys Carter (190-84) added 13 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists in the effort for Frankston Blues. Spectres maintains first place in League with 4-0 record. Loser Frankston Blues still closes the standings with five games lost. Spectres will face league's second-placed Bandits in Albury in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Frankston Blues will play at home against Canberra Gunners (#8) and look forward to get finally their first victory.
