A very close game took place in Athens between Doukas and Arkadikos. Fifteenth ranked Doukas (5-23) got a very close home victory over 14th ranked Arkadikos (7-21). Doukas managed to escape with a 1-point win 111-110 on Saturday evening. Doukas forced 24 Arkadikos turnovers. The winners were led by guard Alexis Kiritsis (198-82) who scored that evening 35 points (!!!), 9 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Stelios Ioannou (196-87) supported him with 23 points and 6 rebounds. Even 29 points and 9 rebounds (on 12-of-15 shooting from the field) by forward Giannis Prodromou (196-87) did not help to save the game for Arkadikos. Center Savvas Tsougarakis (207-86) added 20 points and 9 rebounds for lost side. Five Arkadikos players scored in double figures. Doukas maintains fifteenth position with 5-23 record. Arkadikos lost third consecutive game. They keep the fourteenth place with 21 games lost. Doukas will meet higher ranked Ermis Agias (#9) in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Arkadikos will play against the league's second-placed Holargos (#2) having rather not much hope for a victory.
